Brother Wolf holds special PokéKitten adoption events

PRESS RELEASE:

Some very special Pokémon will be making an appearance at businesses in Asheville on July 23rd, and while these animals aren’t looking to be captured by the popular Pokémon Go phone app, they are hoping to capture your hearts – and a new home. This Saturday, Brother Wolf Animal Rescue will be holding special one-day “PokéKitten Adoption Events” at locations throughout Asheville, with hopes of finding homes for some of the more than 300 kittens currently in their care.

“Our community cat team has been extremely successful in working to reduce the number of kittens on the streets and stabilize the feral cat population of Asheville through our targeted spay and neuter program. Unfortunately there are still many kittens being born in our community, and we’ve opened our doors wide to rescue them. Now these rescued kittens are old enough to go to their forever homes, and we’re excited to match them with families that will provide them with the love and care they need to live happy lives.” – Eric Phelps, Community Cat Team member and BWAR General Manager

Members of the community are invited to meet and socialize with the kittens while refilling their Pokémon Go supplies at the following locations on Saturday, July 23rd:

Tractor Supply Company (14 Old Brevard Rd, Asheville, NC 28806) from 10 AM – 2 PM

Pet Supermarket (244 Tunnel Rd, Asheville, NC 28805) from 12 PM – 3 PM

Woof Gang Bakery (Biltmore Park Town Square, 33 Town Square Blvd #140 Asheville, NC 28803) from 1PM – 4 PM
Kittens like Meowth, Eevee, Jolteon, and Embrion will be available for an adoption with no adoption fee at the stops, and at the Brother Wolf Adoption Center, located at 31 Glendale Avenue in Asheville on the day of the event (also a Pokéstop!)
