Press release from Asheville Downtown Association:

Asheville Downtown Association’s Pritchard Park Summer Series brings free, family-friendly programming to Pritchard Park several nights per week throughout the warm season. All events are open to the public and suitable for all ages. Please note, shows are weather dependent, and lineups are subject to change slightly.

2018 marks the first year the Summer Series will benefit from the City of Asheville’s recent park renovations, including new hardscapes, boulder seating, landscaping and more.

Pritchard Park Summer Series is produced in partnership with the City of Asheville as well as host organizations like Asheville Hoops and LEAF Community Arts. Sponsors include Echo Mountain Recording, Asheville FM and McGuire Wood and Bissette Law Firm.

The 2018 lineup is as follows:

Hoop Jam (Tuesdays from June 5 – Aug. 7, from 5:30-7:30 p.m.)

Bring your own hoop or borrow one of ours! Now celebrating 11 years, Hoop Jam is hosted by Asheville Hoops and features music and hooping for everybody. Practice physical fitness and meet fellow hoop enthusiasts while attending this interactive event.

Cultural Arts in Pritchard Park (Wednesdays, June 6 – Aug. 8 except July 4, from 6-7:30 p.m.)

Join LEAF Schools and Streets for cultural arts from both local and global traditions — all in the heart of downtown Asheville!
