Piedmont Rising hosts health care town hall at Grant Center Jan. 23

In response to recent attacks on North Carolinians’ health care, local advocates are gathering together and fighting back.

Piedmont Rising, a North Carolina nonprofit advocating for lower health care costs, will host a town hall at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 23, at the Dr. Wesley Grant, Sr. Southside Center in Asheville as part of a statewide tour to hear about North Carolinians’ experiences with the health care system and share those stories with elected officials to promote change. This town hall will kick off a series of town hall meetings that Piedmont Rising will hold across North Carolina throughout the coming months.

WHO:

Piedmont Rising will join community members, experts, and county representatives as they share health care stories, provide updates on the fight to defend crucial protections enshrined in the Affordable Care Act, and discuss how repealing health care could impact North Carolinians.

Thursday, Jan. 23, from 6:30 p.m.–8:00 p.m.
