Press release from the Preservation Society of Asheville and Buncombe County:
The Board of Directors of the Preservation Society of Asheville and Buncombe County is thrilled to announce Jessie Landl as our new Executive Director. Jessie has been with PSABC since 2017 as our Director of Development and Programming. Some of her many accomplishments include our Preservation Grants Program and coordinating our annual Time Traveling Gala. Her years of experience in the non-profit world, love of old houses, energy, enthusiasm and dedication make her the perfect person to lead PSABC into the future. We hope to celebrate this occasion in person with you all soon. In the meantime, please join me in congratulating Jessie and welcoming her to this new leadership role at PSABC.
Amy Hornaday
Board PresidentA Note from Jessie:
I am honored to accept the position of Executive Director for the Preservation Society of Asheville and Buncombe County.
Over the last few years, PSABC has experienced unprecedented growth in our capacity to preserve the unique historic resources of our community. I look forward to leading our organization as we focus on growing our inventory of permanently protected properties, expanding our education programming and the development of a revolving fund, which will allow us to save critically endangered properties.
Even through the economic challenges of COVID-19, we are committed to continuing our investment in Asheville and Buncombe County. As always, we need your input and support.
As I write today, we are fundraising for a program that I am especially proud of. In two short years, our Preservation Grant program has allowed us to respond to the needs of our community in a whole new way. With events like the Time Traveling Gala canceled this year, we need your support more than ever to ensure the future of this important program.
Thank you for your support of PSABC, and more personally, thank you for supporting me as I take on this role. I will work hard to make our members, volunteers and supporters proud. In my time at PSABC, I have met so many wonderful people and I look forward to many more years of working with you all!
Sincerely,
Jessie Landl
Executive Director
