The Asheville Loft, a gallery and art space (at 52 Broadway, Suite. 3B), launches with a group show. A Confluence of Elements features work by local artists and themes of nature, spirituality and personal experience. Alena Hennessy is an author, workshop leader and painter; Matthew Beasley is a musician and mixed-media artist who is “influenced by visionary and surrealist works”; Rose Candela Moore works on reclaimed surfaces and is “inspired by visual patterns, the human spirit and a deep love for art history”; Taylor Taz Johnson is a photographer who recently spent two months on a photo documentary expedition in Tibet and India. The show runs for several months, with an opening reception on Friday, Nov. 7, from 6-10 p.m. theashevilleloft.com. Photo courtesy of the gallery
