A student team from A-B Tech’s culinary program will compete for the Southeast Student Team Championship at the American Culinary Federation’s Southeast Region Culinary Salon Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 10-11, at Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in Atlanta, Georgia.
A-B Tech has had a team make it to the national finals of the ACF competition more than any other student team in the contest’s history, winning first place in 2007. The 2014 team members were Alex Harris, Caroline Williams, Ruth Solis, Jay O’Hannon and Kristina Costa.

Semifinalists Announced for American Culinary Federation Southeast Region Culinary Salon
St. Augustine, Fla., Dec. 30, 2014—Chefs and students are preparing their mise en place and sharpening their knife skills for the 2015 American Culinary Federation (ACF) Southeast Region Culinary Salon. The event will host four competitions and take place at Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in Atlanta, Tucker, Georgia, Jan. 10-11.
Competitions will determine who receives ACF’s Southeast Region titles for Chef of the Year, Pastry Chef of the Year, Student Chef of the Year and Student Team Championship. Those who win their respective competition will compete against their regional counterparts for the national title at Cook. Craft. Create. Convention & Show, Orlando, Florida, July 30-Aug. 3.
