Press release:
Community leaders of Tryon, N.C are preparing for a festival that will be held in Tryon called, Afro-Fest 2017. This festival will be a tribute that embraces African culture within Tryon, Polk County and surrounding areas. Afro-Fest will be an arts festival that celebrates and unifies the cultural cornerstones of African culture through music, film, food, and art.
With the display of African performances, music, and food, we hope to bring a more Afro-cultural presence into the area. The event will be held on Saturday, May 13th from 11 am to 8 pm at the Tryon Depot in Downtown Tryon. Admission is free to the public and this event is kid friendly.
