Air quality forecast for Asheville, updated for July 21 and 22: Potentially unhealthy (YELLOW)

From WNC Regional Air Quality Agency:

Today’s air quality forecast has been updated to code orange due to smoke associated with wildfires in the western US and Canada. Additionally, Thursday, July 22, 2021, is also a code air quality forecast day for the valleys and ridge tops of Asheville and Buncombe County.  Air quality is unhealthy for sensitive groups. Children, active adults, and those with heart or respiratory disease, including asthma, should limit outdoor activity. This also means that open burning will not be allowed tomorrow.  Burning trash and other non-vegetative material is always prohibited.
