Press release from American Folk Art

Just in time for Valentine’s Day and deep into the winter season, American Folk Art presents its 11th Annual Miniatures show….

Launching in the gallery on Thursday February 5th, with an artists reception Friday evening February 6th from 5 – 7 pm

“This is the most anticipated show of the year, our artists love it, we love it and our clients love it!” says Betsey-Rose Weiss, owner of the Biltmore Ave gallery.

Winter tends to the season when artists have time to try new things, explore new materials and mine their imaginations for new themes. The small size of the paintings provides an interesting exercise in intimacy, as the need to be concise yet passionate is needed.

This show features that sense of delight, freshness & with the size restricted to less that 8 x 10 inches these original pieces are affordable, too.

Artists whose paintings you will see include Lucy Hunnicutt, Liz Sullivan, Kent Ambler, Michael Banks, Karl Mullen, Cornbread, Darrell Loy Scott, James A Snipe, & Spencer Herr.
