Asheville Brewers Alliance unveils member t-shirt quilt

Press release:

The Asheville Brewers Alliance (ABA) will unveil a 100″ x 75″ t-shirt quilt at The Salvage Station during the Asheville Brewers Alliance Annual Member Meeting, May 26 at 3:30 pm. The quilt, featuring 30 local breweries, is the work of Stephanie Weil, a local fiber artist specializing in t-shirt quilts, who donated her talent to create the quilt for the ABA.

“This quilt, featuring t-shirts from 30 of our members, is a historic record of the ABA community in 2017,” says Kendra Penland, executive director of the Asheville Brewers Alliance. “We will proudly display this generous gift from Ms. Weil at a variety of craft beer events throughout the year.”

Originally from Chicago, Stephanie has lived in Asheville since 2007. She has created numerous t-shirt quilts and other fiber-based artworks over the past 10 years. “I am thrilled to have this t-shirt quilt serve as a visual representation of the great breweries in our area,” says Weil. “I am honored that the ABA entrusted me with this special project.”
