Anyone involved in this Memorial day party paying any attention to these stats ? Of the 562 individuals counted as homeless in 2017, 239 identified as veterans. This represents 43 percent of the total homeless population in Buncombe County, according to data the city provided. John Penley USN 72-76. The mayor said she was gonna end Veteran’s homelessness. The numbers are going up not down. She lied.
