Local artists, crafters, bakers and other creative minds will come together on Sunday, Dec. 2 from 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. for Asheville Community Yoga’s 3rd annual Holiday Art Market. The market has been a hugely successful fundraiser for the nonprofit community center over the past two years, helping to raise necessary funds to continue to support the mission. Asheville Community Yoga is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization offering donation based yoga classes. The studio also offers affordable Healing Arts services such as massage, acupuncture and wellness counseling, along with an award winning thrift shop, Zen & Now. In early November the studio opened Karma Café, a full service restaurant offering healthy and affordable food with gluten free and vegan options.
Many of the vendors have also chosen to donate one item to a special raffle basket, and the lucky winner will get an entire basket full of goodies from the market, including a hand crafted shakuhachi bamboo flute, natural minimalist-inspired cleaning products, and hand blown glass ornaments, along with jewelry, pottery, drawings, paintings and food. The basket is valued at over $1,000, and tickets are one for $10 or five for $30.

We have seen people fall in love here, have emotional breakthroughs, and find the true meaning of being in service to make this world a better place for us all to live. We strive to make yoga accessible to all and create a welcoming environment to learn about yourself and grow into your best self. This market is a beautiful culmination of our journey over the past 9 years, and joining together to celebrate the holidays is one of the most exciting parts of being involved in communities like ours. This market will have items to meet every price point, and the selection will not disappoint. Please join us, even if you’ve never visited us yet!” says Wendy Lantis, the Community Service Director and organizer for this event.
The 3rd Holiday Art Market will feature locally made food, ceramics, photography, jewelry, savory and sweet treats, and more. A portion of each purchase will support Asheville Community Yoga.
