From a press release:
Local artist and Asheville City Councilman Cecil Bothwell will be “publicly hung” for the first time during the month of December at the West End Bakery. The oil paintings on display will include landscapes featuring WNC barns and portraits of notable chickens. In an artistic career spanning four decades Bothwell has segued from hopelessly, utterly abysmal acrylic abstracts to reasonably recognizable plein-air representational oils. Someday he hopes to be a real boy.
