Flat Rock-Hendersonville Chapter of PFLAG hosts COLAGE director Kaley Fry June 5

GUEST SPEAKER TO SHARE EXPERIENCES OF GROWING UP
IN ASHEVILLE WITH LESBIAN MOMS
 

Hendersonville, NC … May 9, 2017. The Flat Rock-Hendersonville Chapter of PFLAG (Parents, Family and Friends of Lesbians and Gays) will host Kaley Fry, Interim National Program Director of COLAGE (Children of Lesbians and Gays Everywhere) at its June 5 meeting, 7 – 8:30 p.m. in the Education Building of Providence Baptist Church, 1201 Oakland Street, Hendersonville, NC.

The event is free and the public is invited.

COLAGE unites people with lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and/or queer parents into a network of peers and supports them as they nurture and empower each other to be skilled, self-confident, and just leaders in our collective communities. Fry, who is transgender, will share their experiences growing up in Charlotte, N.C. with their lesbian moms.

“PFLAG is excited to be bringing Kaley to Hendersonville and look forward to having the community learn of this wonderful group” says Jerry Miller, president of the local chapter. “We hope that LGBTQ parents will come and learn more about this group and to give their children a chance to learn about other families like theirs.”
