The holiday treat at Hendersonville Community Theatre will be the Second Stage production of David Sedaris’ hilarious adult comedy “The Santaland Diaries”.
Sedaris’ accounts of his life as a Macy’s Santaland elf first brought him acclaim when he read it on National Public Radio in 1992; it was adapted by Joe Mantello for the New York stage in 1996 and quickly became a holiday favorite at theatres across the country.
The Hendersonville Community Theatre one elf cast of veteran actor Bob Reece under the direction of Jenny Lee will present the play in the Hendersonville Community Theatre Event Center directly behind their main building at 229 S. Washington Street in downtown Hendersonville. Performances begin on December 4, with additional shows following on Dec. 5, 11 and 12 at 7:30 p.m. and on Sundays December 6 and 13 at 2:00 p.m.
Ticket prices for this adult holiday treat are $16.00 at the door or in advance online at hendersonvilletheatre.org.
