Hundreds of Buncombe County residents expected to receive free dental services

Press release from North Carolina Dental Society Foundation:

Missions of Mercy (MOM) will hold a free mobile dental clinic in Asheville September 6-7, 2024. We invite you and your audience to attend our free mobile dental clinic in Asheville. Presented by the North Carolina Dental Society Foundation (NCDSF), this adult clinic provides complimentary dental procedures for adults who cannot afford or do not have access to oral health care.

In addition to inviting you, the media, to attend the event, we want to give your audience who might be in need of dental care the opportunity to plan for the clinic. We expect to treat 600-800 individuals over two days. Since its founding in 2003, NCDSF MOM clinics have provided more than $39 million in free care to more than 69,000 North Carolinians.

What: Opportunity for patients to receive free dental care from licensed dentists. Based on an initial examination and x-rays, offered dental procedures may include: cleanings, fillings, and extractions.
When: September 6-7, 2024
Doors open at 6:00 a.m. Patients will be seen on a first-come, first-serve basis. Patients must arrive early in the morning.
