Press release from the Town of Mills River:
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Mills River Volunteer Fire Department is offering well-being checks to citizens in need.
With social distancing a top priority, many people are unable to check on or visit their loved ones and Mills River Fire Department is looking to fill that need. According to Mills River Fire Chief, Rick Livingston, “The Mills River Community has always been extremely supportive of this fire department, and recognizing that this is a very trying time for all of us, this is one small way of going above and beyond what we normally do, stepping up to say thanks.”
If you would like to request a well-being check for a loved one, neighbor, or friend living in the Mills River Fire District, please complete the online form at millsriver.org/coronavirus. Requests may also be made by calling Mills River Town Hall at 828-890-2901.
