Letter from John Russell, Executive Director of Montford Park Players:
Dear Friends of Montford Park Players,
As I am sure you are already aware, Buncombe County Public Health recently announced the immediate closure of several different types of businesses in the interest of public safety. We think this is a good idea in order to keep our patrons, our actors and our staff healthy.
This means that our 2020 season which was scheduled to begin on May 1st will be postponed until we are able to host a public performance and, at the same time, be sure we can keep everyone in our circle safe. In other words, until further notice.
We hope to soon have an idea of what our modified season will look like, and we will be sure to keep you up to date about any events we are able to plan, whether live or virtual. However, the postponement of our season also means we are not able to count on audience donations.
We know you, like us, are in a tough spot right now, but if you were planning to make a donation to Montford Park Players at any point during this year, we ask that you do it now. We are desperately trying to support our year-round staff for as long as we can during this crisis, and anything you donate will help.
