Project Linus gifts handmade blankets Camp Corral Kids

Press Release from Project Linus:

PROJECT LINUS SUPPORTS OUR MILITARY

The Western North Carolina Chapter of Project Linus participated in
Camp Corral, a week-long camp experience for children of wounded or fallen
military parents. The camp is free for children ages 8 -15 and is sponsored
by Golden Corral Restaurants.

Our local chapter of Project Linus presented 160 handmade blankets
to the campers and their siblings this year. The presentation was held on
Sunday, August 9 at Camp Weaver in Greensboro, NC.

Project Linus volunteers created these blankets which were either
quilted, crocheted, knitted or made from fleece. All the blankets were displayed
on tables so each child could have a choice and select a blanket that was special
to him.
