Press release from City of Asheville
Please join the City of Asheville for the 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony on Wednesday, September 11, starting at 8:30 a.m. at the Municipal Building, 100 Court Plaza.
This event is to pay solemn tribute to those who heroically sacrificed their own lives to save thousands of others, and to remember those who lost their lives in the tragic events of that day.
This ceremony is open to the public.
Speakers for the event include Deputy Fire Chief Chris Budzinski, City Manager Debra Campbell, and Police Chief Mike Lamb.
We hope community members will join the staff as we pay tribute on this day of remembrance.
