Letter: What do to about the $650K loo

[Regarding “Council Delays Consideration of 24-hour Downtown Restroom,” Jan. 31, Xpress:]

This is another prime example of the absurd decision-making process of Asheville City Council. A brick-and-mortar restroom exists. It needs maintenance. Duh! So do the parking garages. It comes with ownership.

Anyway, take care of what you already have. The funds could go a long way to creating jobs for attendants, should the city want to keep the existing Haywood Street restrooms open all night.

Non residents love to chime in about asheville and spend our money.

How are the all night Black Mountain restrooms?

    • Think a little

They aren’t wrong about the wasteful, poorly thought out spending though…. Are they?

This is another prime example of the absurd decision-making process of Asheville City VOTERS who elected this council.

As far as I know, the Pack Square Park bathrooms (funded by the BCTDA years ago) are still out or service for an apparent water line freeze up (per Asheville website). What’s the story on that.

    Maybe someone will investigate?
