Weekend of sustainable fashion, June 13-15

R3S33d the vision in co-creation with Born Again Vintage present a weekend of next level fashion, recycling the past to bring you the future of recycled fashion. June 13-15th

Author, designer, F.I.T. professor and vintage connoisseur Bridgett Artise has teamed up with modern stylist Wendy Owens to bring a sustainable fashion explosion to Asheville,NC. Wendy Owens is style visionary whose mantra is, “True beauty comes from within. Fashion should be fun! Be a canvas paint the way you feel.” Bridgett Artise, the author of the eponymous book Born Again Vintage: 25 Ways to Deconstruct, Reinvent, and Recycle Your Wardrobe (Random House 2008), has extended her brand to include a retail shop, sustainable fashion programs, ehow videos and vintage tours.

Scheduled to open on Friday, JuneĀ  13, atĀ  Hyphen Coffee Shop. Get a sneak peek of the boutiqe from 5-7pm. Saturday, June 14th from 5-7pm will feature a fashion showcase and a trunk show including Born Again Vintage and amazing finds from Wendy Owens. Sunday, June 15th will conclude this weekend of fashion future with an upcycle workshop from 1-3pm. Offering a wide range of recycled and vintage apparel, this weekend serves as the introduction of Born Again Vintage and the building of R3S33D the vision.

R3s33d is a unique boutique featuring vintage & modern clothing ranging from the 30’s to present day. Our inspiration comes from music, art, nostalgia, nature, technology and free form expression that implements individual outward reflection! R3S33D offers a diverse range of styles: retro, mod, festi, neo tribal, club wear, upcycle, hipster, wearable art, gypsy, posh, sassy and classic.

Hyphen Coffee Shop located at 81 Patton Avenue, Asheville NC, will host this event.
