Press release from Black Mountain Center for the Arts:

Join photographer Lynette Miller for two days of Pinhole Photography exploration and fun at the Black Mountain Center for the Arts located at 225 W. State Street.

On Friday April 28 at noon in the Arts Center’s theater space, Miller will explain the magic of pinhole photography, use a wide variety of slides to illustrate pinhole history and then help anyone who is interested make their own pinhole camera. This free lunch-and-learn event will occupy about an hour. All materials will be provided, but Miller is always looking for light-tight boxes or tins to make into cameras. Homeschoolers are welcome.

Sunday, April 30 is Worldwide Pinhole Photography Day. Miller will have a wide variety of pinhole cameras available and will guide participants in the necessary steps to create a photograph from 1-4pm, rain or shine. No experience necessary. Images will then be downloaded to the Worldwide Pinhole Photography site to join images from around the world. This free event takes place on the lower back level of the Black Mountain Center for the Arts. For more information call 828-669-0930 or visit www.blackmountanarts.
