Blue Ridge Humane and the Council on Aging are teaming up for the Casual Pint in Asheville’s Pints for Non-Profits on Wednesday, June 26, 2019, from 6pm-8:30pm. Each non-profit will supply a guest bartender for the night and see who raises the most tips and wins the tile of Best Bark Tender! All funds raised will go towards the joint Blue Ridge Humane and Council on Aging PetPals program which provides food, health and wellness checks, and more for pet owners in the Meals on Wheels program in Henderson County. Bring your friends, your tips, and get ready for a fun night supporting TWO awesome non-profits!
Deena Johnston, the Council on Aging for Henderson County Thrift Store manager will represent the COA with her fun energy behind the bar. Guest bar tending for Blue Ridge Humane will be Mark Warwick, General Manger and host of local radio station WTZQ. Mark is no stranger to the Casual Pint, having participated in last year’s Pints for Non-Profits for Blue Ridge Humane.
Attendees will be able to cast their vote for their favorite bark-tender with cash tips at the event. The Casual Pint is located at 1863 Hendersonville Rd in Asheville, NC.
The Blue Ridge Humane Society, Inc., is a 501(c)3 animal welfare organization started in 1950 dedicated to ensuring the highest quality of life for animals in Henderson County and our neighboring communities. BRHS cares for pets awaiting adoption at the Adoption Center; offers low-cost vaccine clinics, animal education programs, pet training classes, and youth education and projects; coordinates community pet food assistance, emergency vet assistance, and the Spay Neuter Incentive Program (SNIP), which is a collaboration with Henderson County, the City of Hendersonville, and the Henderson County Animal Services Center.
