Press release from the Asheville Police Department:
Asheville Police are investigating a drug overdose case involving six persons at a local hotel Saturday night which sent all six to the hospital.
APD officers were dispatched to the Grove Park Inn around 7:45 p.m. on Feb. 5 in reference to a report that numerous individuals had overdosed in the hotel room. Asheville Fire Department and Buncombe County EMS were already on scene and administered patient care to two persons; a total of six persons were transported to Mission Hospital for further treatment.
Narcotics have been recovered, and APD detectives are still investigating the incident.
