Concert Location: Specialized Physical Therapy Clinic (Inside Gerber Village), 20 Gala Drive Suite G-104 Asheville, NC 28803KNOCK OUT PARKINSON’S is is a non-contact boxing program teaching patients footwork, punches, combinations, and various other boxing skills.The mission of Knock Out Parkinson’s is to give people the power and motivation to battle Parkinson’s disease. The program hopes to improve people with Parkinson’s mental and physical capabilities through movement and enhance their quality of life. This is accomplished through an intensive program encouraging strength, power, speed, endurance, and fun!
THE FREEWHEELIN MAMAS are a band of Asheville mothers, Christina Chandler, Sarah Easterling and Shalene Hill, who formed as a band through their mutual love for music and singing as well as the bond of motherhood. The Mamas are a female string band singing beautiful harmonies and playing original arrangements of songs both traditional and contemporary.
Proceeds from the concert go to benefit and grow the “Knock Out Parkinson’s” program at Specialized Physical Therapy, the only program of its kind in the region.
