Press Release from Madison Has Heart:
In order to raise funds to restore the historic Methodist Church at Jewel Hill, local nonprofit, Madison Has Heart, will be selling antique and vintage Christmas decorations and holiday gift items at the church on Saturday, November 19th, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. In addition to the seasonal curios, holiday gifts, such as jewelry and artwork, will also be for sale. Home-baked goods and hot drinks can be purchased onsite to support the fundraising effort.
The mission of Madison Has Heart, established in 2013, is simple, according to the co-founder Pat Franklin: “The whole purpose of Madison Has Heart is to raise money for heating assistance for local families in crisis.”
Once restored, the historic church will be Madison Has Heart’s base of operations and will be available for community functions and events. The organizers hope to see lots of friends and neighbors at the event to show off the work that has been done so far. The group also invites shoppers to offer ideas about the use of the facility, once the renovations are complete.
