Mother’s Day plant sale at Bullington Gardens on May 12

Press release from Bullington Gardens:

HENDERSONVILLE:  Bullington Gardens, a horticultural education center and public gardens, will hold a special Mother’s Day plant sale on Saturday, May 12, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The sale features a wide variety of native and non-native perennials, hanging baskets, unusual annuals, and small trees and shrubs. Many of these plants were started from seeds and cuttings onsite in Bullington’s greenhouses. The sun-loving hanging baskets were created by North Hendersonville High School students active in Bullington Garden’s Horticultural Therapy program.

Perfect for Mother’s Day gifts, functional and decorative birdhouses, garden art and crafts created by volunteer artists will also be available.

“This is our second big sale in Spring. Our greenhouses are filled with wonderful, healthy plants, all carefully nurtured by dedicated volunteers,” says John Murphy, Bullington Garden’s Director.

All proceeds benefit Bullington Garden’s mission to educate and inspire children and adults in horticulture, the natural sciences and integrated disciplines.
