To top it off, we have our long-time friend and collaborator, Whitney Moore debuting her new band with an opening set.
Whitney is best known locally for her work with Juan Benavides Group, Montuno, and the occasional appearance with Russ Wilson’s Orchestra. After years of keeping her own original Soul music on the back burner, she has been inspired to give it another go by Asheville’s music mastering mastermind, Michael Hynes, who plays bass in Whitney’s new band. She is also joined by long time friend Chuck Lichtenberger on keys, Phil Bronson on the drum kit, and Duane Simpson on guitar.
