The latest installment of Acoustic Asheville features local band The Moon and You. With a genre-bending sound ranging from folk to bluegrass to soul, the band played four songs ahead of its album release celebration at The Mothlight on Friday, June 24.

        Really? I require zero social media attention.. Did you happen to read the other comment I left 37 minutes ago? I’m one of those that stops in to give a listen when I hear a cello or an accordion. I just do not agree with the description of bluegrass or soul. For listening to all the songs, I wouldn’t call that dismissing.

    I remember about 10 years ago there were a slew of bands in town had a cello in it. I kind of missed that as the cello and the accordion both make people walking by a club stop and go ‘huh?’.
