The limited-seating, outdoor series opens the weekend of July 17 with performances by The Moon and You, Chuck Lichtenberger and his Trio and Becky Stone.
In the surreal and sometimes disturbing video, Lichtenberger “does battle with a dog that morphs into a human, himself on the basketball court and tax documents,” the musician explains.
The richly lit video was directed by Andrew Anderson and features lots of local cameos.
Lichtenberger is the first to admit that he likes things a certain way. “I like being really prepared,” he says. “I like keeping a schedule. It keeps me sane and it makes me productive.” So the degree to which he gave producer Jonathan Scales free rein in making this album is remarkable.
Chuck Lichtenberger is about to launch his solo record ‘This Is What Happens When…’ with a special show at The Mothlight on Sunday, April 8.
The holiday-themed song expresses what many locals feel when stuck in traffic in and around the city.
For their second full-length album, The Resonant Rogues are returning to Echo Mountain Recording Studios. Their crowdfunding campaign for the project culminates on Friday, Nov. 18, when the band performs at The Mothlight.
But the group’s May 1 performance was especially charged — the musicians had triumphantly sold out the venue, but they were also there to say good bye. The show marked the end of the local pop-noir outfit’s decade-long run, at least for now.
The Archrivals play One Stop this Friday, Jan. 11, in celebration of frontman Chuck Lichtenberger’s 18th 22nd birthday. Xpress will give away a pair of tickets to the show.
