Local Bands Host Benefit Concert For Asheville Humane

Asheville, N.C. — Rock For Rescues, a benefit concert for Asheville Humane, is happening on December 9 at The Grey Eagle. This concert features local acts Poet Radio and The Mudbottoms, as well as regional acts Masonjar Menagerie and Brother Oliver. There is a suggested donation of $10 to attend this event.

In the words of Carla Musgrove of The Asheville Humane Society, “Ten dollars goes a long way at Asheville Humane Society. By attending this concert, you are providing a soft bed, a warm blanket and pain medication to one pet who has undergone surgery. Thank you for helping us give the animals a safe and cozy place to stay as they await their forever families.”

This is the first annual Rock For Rescues in Asheville, N.C. All proceeds will go directly to the Asheville Humane Society to help provide food, bedding and medical care to animals in need. The Asheville Humane is a top-notch no-kill facility that uses all available resources to rehabilitate and rehome animals in its care.

Their highly trained staff is dedicated to matching prospective adopters with the perfect pet for their lifestyle. They’ll even let you bring your current dog in to meet a new potential playmate! Sponsors of this event include Asheville Screen Printing, Dog Tag Art, Asheville Music Guide, Devoted Human, Roots Hummus, and Dog House Doggy Daycare.
