The Urban Gypsy Trunk Show is “basically like a party that happens to have incredible shopping,” according to Elle Erickson, organizer of the traveling boutique. In addition to one-of-a-kind, vintage and designer garments — most of which ring up in the $6-$10 range — Erickson’s all-ages extravaganza features dance music, henna art, Tarot readings, seated massages, locally made jewelry, a DIY alteration station, feather and hair extensions, body painting and, perhaps most important, free glitter. “Fun is mandatory. Shopping optional,” says the stylish entrepreneur. With its bar open for business, Asheville Music Hall hosts the party Saturday, Dec. 26, from noon to 8 p.m., and Sunday, Dec. 27, from noon to 7 p.m. Free. ashevillemusichall.com.
