39th Annual Hey Day Fall Family Festival this Saturday, October 10, 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.

ASHEVILLE, NC – Enjoy a fall day with a visit to the Hey Day Fall Family Festival at the WNC Nature Center this Saturday, October 10th. Hey Day is the largest WNC Nature Center event of the year and celebrates the environment, culture, and community of western North Carolina. Hey Day will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
This year’s festival will feature games, arts and crafts, educational animal programs, live music, local food vendors, and a wide variety of exciting wildlife. Entertainment will be provided by Idea Factory Inc Dance Studio, Garnet Ridge Ramblers, Mountain Thunder Cloggers and Professor Whizzpop. Food will be available for purchase from Captain Dave’s Pirate Dawgs, Party Blvd., Pizza Hut and Ruth & Ranshaw. Hey Day guests will enjoy free bottled water courtesy of Earth Fare.
The Friends of the WNC Nature Center’s fall raffle kicks off at Hey Day with great items donated by local merchants, including a season of classes at The Little Gym of Asheville.
Admission to Hey Day is included in general admission, which ranges from $5.95 to $10.95. Children 2 years old and younger get in free. Members of the Friends of the WNC Nature Center receive free entry to Hey Day.
Visitors during Hey Day or any other time have the opportunity to continue their support of the Center by purchasing a Friends of the WNC Nature Center membership. Among other benefits, members receive unlimited visits (including to special events such as Hey Day) for one year.
