Brother Wolf & community partners team up to host Woofstock June 17 in Fletcher

Woofstock to benefit Brother Wolf Animal Rescue and the community

Fletcher, North Carolina (June 6, 2017) — Woofstock, a day of compassion and caring for animals, will benefit the life-saving programs of Brother Wolf Animal Rescue.

Airport Self Storage and Crossroads Mobile Veterinary Clinic will present Woofstock on Saturday, June 17, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at the storage facility, 20 Design Avenue, in Fletcher. It will be free and open to the public.

Our Brother Wolf Henderson County chapter is so excited to be a part of Woofstock, working together with community businesses and veterinarians to help care for and save the animals of Henderson County, “ says Terry Fields, Brother Wolf’s Chapter Manager. Animals from Brother Wolf’s Henderson County chapter will be available for adoption. All proceeds from a gift basket raffle will benefit Brother Wolf.

Avalon Apartment Homes (pet friendly apartments), BeSpeckleNow Crafts and Gifts, Canine Companion (behavior-centered pet sitters), Canine Stylin (groomers), Embrace Pet Insurance, Behaviorist James Lyon, Massage Envy, Petsitters Association of Asheville, Wag! A Unique Pet Boutique and the The Woof Lodge (boarding) will showcase their businesses. Kona Ice will sell shaved ice and ice cream treats.

A low cost vaccine clinic will be offered during Woofstock. All vaccines will be available, including rabies (bring proof of a prior rabies shot to receive a 3-year vaccination). Microchips will be available as well.

“We are so excited to be offering low cost vaccinations in order to help out our community. We can’t wait to see everyone there,” says Dr. Matthew Pisani of Crossroads Mobile Veterinary Clinic.
