Press release from Eliada Homes:
What would it mean if Eliada grew our own food to feed the kids we serve?
You may not know this, but in the past Eliada was self-sustaining, and farmed its own food for the children that grew up here.
Today, Eliada is going #BackToOurRoots and developing a food production system.
It will all begin with a geodesic grow dome where we can begin production of leafy greens and other produce that we can use in our kitchen. The dome will be a multi-functional space where the kids can also grow plants, learn about earth science, and get active! We need your help to get the dome built! Eliada has entered a USA Today video contest. You can vote once per day on our video until May 12th! If we get everyone in our community voting daily, we increase our chances of winning a $100,000 grant that we can use to bring this project to life.
