Pisgah Brewing Company celebrates ten years of beers this month, with four special pint nights and a mini-festival on April 19 at Pisgah’s outdoor stage.
Each pint night marks the 10-year anniversary of the first Pisgah keg ever sold at that location. On April 13, Pisgah comes to Barley’s. On April 14, they’ll be at Mellow Mushroom. On April 15, Pisgah will be at Westville Pub. And on April 16, Thirsty Monk will feature Pisgah specialties.
The April 19 show, at Pisgah Brewing Company in Black Mountain, will showcase some crowd favorites from past events. Performers include Leftover Salmon featuring Bill Payne, Pimps of Joytime, Dead 27s and The Travers Brothership.
More from Pisgah Brewing Company:
BLACK MOUNTAIN, NC – Pisgah Brewing Company stands out as a leader in the craft scene of WNC, as it’s flagship Pisgah Pale Ale has been unofficially considered one of the most recognized beers of the region. 2015 marks the 10-year anniversary of serving craft brews in Asheville and WNC for Pisgah Brewing, and that is reason enough for a multitude of celebrations planned for the year to commemorate the occasion. Pisgah’s anniversary is based upon it’s first keg sale, which occurred on April 13th, 2005 with its first keg of Pale Ale being sold to the downtown Asheville staple, Barley’s Taproom.
Though the celebration will last throughout 2015, Pisgah’s Anniversary Week will begin with Pint Night celebrations following the 10-year anniversary of their first keg sales back in 2005. Monday, April 13th will be a Pisgah Brewing pint night at Barley’s Asheville; Tuesday, April 14th will be at Mellow Mushroom; Wednesday, April 15th at Westville Pub; and Thursday, April 16th will feature a specialties night at Thirsty Monk Downtown Asheville. Each event will mark exactly 10-years from the first keg ever sold to the participating locations, as well as commemorate that those taps have flowed Pisgah Pale Ale since their first keg sale 10 years ago.
Pisgah will finish off the week with a party at the coveted Pisgah Brewing Outdoor Stage on Sunday, April 19th. The performers will be a round-up of some of Pisgah’s favorites from recent history, and will feature live sets from Leftover Salmon featuring Bill Payne, Pimps of Joytime, Dead 27s and, Black Mountain locals, The Travers Brothership. Tickets will be $10 to commemorate 10-years, and the doors will open to the festivities at 2pm.
As if that wasn’t enough celebration, Pisgah Brewing has invited their brothers in brewing to help commemorate the occasion all year long as they embark upon 10 collaborations for 10-years. The list of confirmed beer collaborations includes Burial Beer Company, Wicked Weed Brewing, Asheville Brewing Company, Hi-Wire Brewing, Birdsong Brewing Company, Full Steam Brewing, Holy City Brewing Company, Fonta Flora Brewing and a special collaboration with the homebrewer’s club of Asheville, aka M.A.L.T. The 10th collaboration, deemed a special surprise, will be announced in the coming weeks. Pisgah’s first release of the 10-year Collaborations will be with Burial Beer Co featuring a new version of their 2014 favorite, Cemetary Gates, a Belgian-style IPA. The release will be held at Pisgah Brewing’s taproom on Wednesday, February 25th at 4pm.
