Buncombe County Health and Human Services will administer both the Pfizer and Johnson & Johnson vaccines at the clinic. Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine was authorized for use for anyone 12 years and older. Johnson & Johnson’s single-dose shot is currently available for anyone 18 years and older in the U.S.
“Musicians, actors, comedians, and artists have really been hit hard with the loss of work during this pandemic and we are all looking forward to getting things back open and operating,” said KP Whaley, General Manager of Asheville FM. “The quicker all of us become vaccinated, the quicker our creative community, and those who love it, can once again see live performance and art,” he said.
“Smoky Park Supper Club is the perfect location for the clinic as the restaurant and event space alongside the French Broad River in the River Arts District has always had a local and community focus since opening in Spring of 2014,” said Whaley.
City and County Pool passes will be provided for any participant in the clinic as well as other giveaways from the arts organizations. The clinic is free and open to the public.
