Power to the people: Best of WNC 2018 voting begins

With a far out feeling, voting has begun for the beloved annual Best of WNC awards. Only you can decide who’ll be feelin’ it in the new summer of love, when winners are announced this August. You have until 11:59 p.m. on the night of Saturday, April 28 to complete your ballot and make sure your voice is heard. Give us the skinny on who’s the grooviest when it comes to: music for boogie-ing, art to check out, good grub, tasty beverages, who’s the best in biz, stuff for young ‘uns and furry friends and lots more.

Whether you are a stranger in a strange land, a hip new denizen, a lifetime local or anything in between, if you care about this community and what makes it great, this is your chance to make sure your choices feel the love. Vote your passion and knowledge on what is the very best. Take your time, vote for your faves, leave the rest — but most importantly, start your ballot nowMountain Xpress is constantly refining and streamlining the voting process to make it easier to be a part of Best Of, so your voting should go smoother than ever.

If you think you can take it to the max without asking people to vote for you, you can dream on. Got a business? Or want to do your favorite places a solid and help them get out the vote? Here are links to download printable promotional materials (poster, postcard & table tent) and online “Vote Now” Web Graphics. Or call the Xpress office to pick-up a packet of materials, 828-251-1333.

The competition is expected to be tough. Sometimes, just a few votes make the difference between coming out awesome and not. Be a power-house voter by also swinging your influence to your favorite things: Fill your good buddies in on who you’re voting for by using the sharing tools on the ballot. Can you dig it?

oh goodie. it’s the annual “hey, we need money, so let’s pander to Asheville businesses to sell some ads and pretend we care about the rest of WNC, as the title of the poll would indicate, but we really don’t care about the rest of WNC because they don’t line our pockets” poll.
