Asheville law firmLakota R. Denton, P.A. have released an official Slow Down Asheville Video to help promote safe driving behavior on Asheville’s busy roadways. Locally produced and featuring neighborhood residents and businesses, the short film delves into the practical safety challenges faced by our rapidly growing city.
“As Asheville grows and experiences higher traffic volume, drivers are finding backroads and shortcuts to save time,” attorney Lakota Denton says. “Many of these shortcuts are narrow residential roads with on-street parking and less than ideal visibility. Drivers not paying attention to their surroundings or posted speed limits are creating a real safety hazard.“

Asheville is known for its community-oriented nature, walkability, and overall friendliness towards pedestrians, children, cyclists and pets. Slow Down Asheville was created in an effort to address Asheville’s growth in a responsible way and help our community prioritize what is most important to its residents.
