Pints for Pirouettes: fundraiser for local dance community, June 4-10

Press release:

The AAAC is working in conjunction with Terpsicorps Theatre of Dance and four local breweries to raise awareness within our community for the incredible dance companies that exist right here in Western North Carolina.

During the week of June 4 – 10, $1 of each pint sold of the participating brewery’s selected beer will be donated to Pints for Pirouettes. You can support local arts, be entertained by dance performances at the breweries, all while raising a pint. The fundraiser will benefit four dance companies: Terpsicorps Theatre of Dance; Lindsey Kelley Dance; Asheville Contemporary Dance Theatre; Asheville Butoh Collective; along with the Asheville Area Arts Council.

Participating breweries and schedule of performances:

• Bhramari Brewing Company – performance on Tuesday, June 6, at 6:00 pm

• Burial Beer Co. – performance by Lindsey Kelley Dance on Thursday, June 8, at 7:30 pm

• Catawba Brewing Co. – Dortmond Export Lager – performance by Terpsicorps Theatre of Dance on Thursday, June 8, at 7:30 pm

• One World Brewery – Saison of Love – performance by Terpsicorps Theatre of Dance during the afternoon of Friday, June 9, time TBD

• As an added bonus, One World Brewery is generously participating for the entire month of June. Purchase their Saison of Love at any point during the month and $1 of the pint will be donated to Pints for Pirouettes!
